Wipro Recruited them as Engineer but asked to work in Callcenter

After Jet issue, here is another issue which is enough to estimate the future of Indian IT sector. Everyone is saying that Indian IT sector is safe from the American fall, several IT companies (including Infosys) have claimed that they are going to hire more employees. But, this seems to be just a patch-up and far from reality.

One of largest IT company in India – Wipro has asked its to-be-project-engineers to work asĀ  callcenter workers. :(

According to a news report on CNBC Awaaz, several students were recruited by Wipro in West Bengal, Orissa and Andhra Pradesh as Project Engineer in its IT Cell and now they have been asked to work in its BPO cell.

These Engineering students are protesting like Jet Employees and yet to get justice. Well, the positive side of the story is that the Wipro has not changed the salary offered and it is unchanged.
