Linus Torvalds Rated As Greatest Geek of All Time

In my class 9th school interview, I was asked about my role model. I replied then, “Bill Gates“. After few years, at another interview the same question was asked to me, but this time my answer was “Linus Torvalds“.

Linus Torvalds, Known as “Father of Linux“, was born in Finland (and n’t in US). He changed the world by writing Linux Kernel, and making it Free and Open Source. Linux is the best example for the success of an open-source initiative.

iTnews : An Australian News site has named Linus Torvalds as the Greatest Geek of all time. The site commented about him as “Had Torvalds been raised in America he might very well be a billionaire but instead he lives modestly and takes his wealth in knowing he has changed the computing landscape for ever.”

In an article “The top 10 greatest geeks of all time”, the site has named Linus as #1. The other greatest geeks are
