PicPick : Free Alternative of SnagIt Screen Capture
I am a true lover of SnagIt and it is my default screen capture tool for long. I have seen many high profile techies using and promoting this tool. You can read reviews of SnagIt anywhere on the web, but the most disappointing side of this popular software is : It is not Free. There are several Free powerful screen capture tools, but none of them can be a true alternative of SnagIt, except PicPick.
PicPick is an all-in-one software for software developers, graphic designers and home user. It has an intuitive interface and simple, elegant operation. After starting the software, you simply select one of the tool from the PicPick Tools trayicon menu when you want. It features a powerful capture tool, image editor, color picker, color palette, pixel ruler, protractor, crosshair, whiteboard and etc. You can use all these tools freely.

PicPick is portable ware, so you don’t need any installation. And, this is distributed as Freeware. So you may use this software on any number of computers for as long as you like.

Yes I use Snag it to be frank ,but freewares are there that are offering similar features to Snagit like you said Picpic as well as FastStone Image Viewer.
With Snagit you can click on scroll screen and shoot a pic of the whole website page. can you do the same with this PicPick?
Yes you can, I just tried it and its an option called Capture Window Control.
This is great! Almost everything waht I needed from snag it and free.

I am used to populating empty form field [pdf's mainly] by printing them to snagit and using the populated forms for testing. I find the text box option of snag it very helpful.
Does PicPick have it?
I like it, only missing an option to ONLY copy to clipboard, but anyway, nice tool, thanks for sharing!
