Indians love SMS and Google now knows this. Google India has launched a new product called Google SMS Channels , Which is a group SMS service for FREE , just like the popular SMS GupShup and Vakow [ Read More about these services ] .

You can start you own SMS Group (Channel) or subscribe to other channels. A channel owner can add stuffs to the Channel via different sources. You can get your channel updates from Blogger or Google Groups or Google News or RSS/Atom feeds ( Attention Bloggers ! ) from any supporting web site. This field is optional.

You can also post messages via the web front end or mobile with or without a source selection. To Add contents by a mobile device, you need to send a SMS to SMS Channels number +91-9870807070 (non-premium number) . It supports English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.
