BJP using FOSS

BJP : The Bhartiya Janta Party, largest political party of India, is now the most high-tech political party in the country. The Party is using Free and Open Source Softwares (FOSS) to computerised its offices across the country.

According to an article by Marco Fioretti on Linux.com, BJP says it plans to implement Wi-Fi connectivity in all its headquarters plus nationwide IP video telephony and unified messaging networks.
Prodyut Bora, national convenor of BJP information technology cell, says, “We have found that it is possible to create an entire enterprise IT ecosystem using only FOSS.”

    Nice move by BJP. Their IT cell is working really hard to make changes obvious. “Netas” should try to learn about things to relieve them. Idea of promoting FOSS in India is good. Hope they don’t see vote bank in this also.BR/BR/Nice article. Thanks for share, buddy.
